The Story of Gretchen Guitar

December 11, 2017

Allow me to spin you a tale.

Last Thursday I was at my desk when I received a message at lunch time asking if I could help out my buddies in the group Mr Faded Glory. They had an acoustic show booked that night and their support act had suddenly dropped out. They were keen for me to cover the spot.

I told them I didn’t have an acoustic guitar or in fact any type of acoustic set ready but I’d give it a go and do as much as I could.

It felt as though the Universe was telling me that the time had come to make a move on the purchase of an acoustic guitar. As luck would have it a conveniently located guitar shop  just happened to have a great guitar in stock. This isn’t the guitar I had originally intended to buy but it was in fact better.

As many of you will know I’ve been selling limited edition Death Ingloria 2018 calendars to raise the money to buy a guitar and with a good portion of funds now raised I thought this was as good a time as any to jump in.

The owner of the guitar shop Simon even restrung the guitar for me when I told him I was going straight to a show.

I’d now like to welcome Gretchen to the Death Ingloria family. Named after my favourite country singer Gretchen Wilson.

I still have a few of the 2018 Calendars available. Everyone who buys one gets the Wolf Onboard Comic, the current electric album and the acoustic album when it’s finished being recorded. All the proceeds from the calendars go directly towards the recording of the acoustic album.

Isn't she a beauty?

I wonder what the Universe has in store for us next?
